Energy saving/efficiency is the most important issue today. Increasing fuel prices is reminding us that we are losing trust in the most important factor in today’s social life.

How much there are natural resources? It is difficult to answer this question. The limited fuel resource is undoubted, its consumption is increasing urban air pollution, carbon dioxide emissions and many other negative consequences.

During the last few years our BASALTWOOL project team is working on what needs to be done in energy efficient buildings. Building is the largest energy consumer, most people shock at the fact that atmosphere is a source of carbon dioxide. More than 40 percent of the world’s energy is pumped into construction and heating.

Only a handful of people can understand that the energy costs of building electricity can be reduced by almost 90 percent. By saving energy we can save money, reduce carbon dioxide and even can create more jobs.

Scientists, political actors and citizens who care for the future of the energy have one main goal and it is to build a good quality buildings. If law enforcement officials enforce energy efficiency in any old and new buildings, it can contribute to the future of the energy and construction sectors by legalizing it.

Basis for success and market opportunity

This is more expensive in our country because of the long winter. However, it is unfortunate that our buildings are not fully utilizing the potential of  insulation from energy efficiency perspective. . Although we are using heating systems to warm up, we do disperse have over 50% of the heat produced in to the air. The buildings of Ulaanbaatar have a high heat loss and the heat transmission line has become a major cause of heat loss.
